  • Austin Mclain of Guildhall, VT Receives 2026 Maple Award

Austin Mclain from Guildhall, VT was awarded this years Maple Scholarship for $2,750.00.

He graduated from White Mountain Regional High School where he was an intricate part of the Maple Sugaring Program.  Austin takes great pride in his family's deep roots in maple sugaring and is motivated to carry on that legacy by growing their operation into a sustainable business rather than simply a hobby.  Austin is already producing value-added products with his father, such as maple jelly, sugar and candy.

The scholarship will provide Austin the opportunity to expand the operation.  We wish him the very best luck in his adventures!

  • Caledonia Maple Associate Has Record Year at 2025 Caledonia County Fair

The Sugarhouse celebrated another record-breaking year! Our new miniature ice-cream cones filled with maple cream were a hit, which we’re excited to bring back next season alongside more potential new treats! With perfect fair weather, sunshine, and a light breeze, the atmosphere was just right for welcoming new volunteers, who jumped in with enthusiasm and did an incredible job. A special highlight was having four generations of the Messier family working together in the Sugarhouse on Saturday, including Shawn and our granddaughter making maple candy. It was truly a wonderful day to remember. Thank you to all of our members who made it such a success!
